RESPECT + RESPONSIBILITY = SUCCESS

Welcome to the Balmoral Senior Public School learning community.  As our mission statement says, we are committed to developing the potential in everyone.  SUCCESS is our number one priority!  Working in partnership with parents and guardians, we want Balmoral to be a positive, enriching, and success filled LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

In my experience as a middle school educator, I have found that success can be achieved by consistently demonstrating respectful and responsible behaviour.  What does this look like and sound like at Balmoral?  Respectful students can be seen and heard doing the following:  treating others the way they want to be treated, sharing kindness and consideration, liking themselves enough to be themselves, accepting others for who they are, using appropriate language, cooperating with their teachers, honouring and following the rules of the school, caring for the grounds, classrooms, and facilities connected with the school, demonstrating appropriate listening behaviour, and so on.  Responsible students can be seen and heard doing the following at Balmoral:  coming to school on time, completing their homework on time and to the best of their ability, being in control of their own behaviour, being trusted with important jobs, finishing their work on time, doing their part when working in groups, and so on.

Balmoral is our school.  I urge you to become involved in the life of the school and to help maintain the tradition of excellent achievement in academics, the arts and athletic activities.  I know Balmoral will be successful if all members of the learning community consistently demonstrate respect and responsibility.
